Carlos Veloso talked with Cristina Peres about the trends associated with Jihadism in the Great Sahel.
Carlos Veloso is a Consultant and former Director of the World Food Porgramme. He has extensive experience coordinating international relief and response emergency scenarios and has participated in numerous humanitarian projects, namely in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Mali, Haiti, Chad, Senegal, Central African Republic, Sudan, Myanmar, Pakistan and Iraq. He has also collaborated with the UNDP and the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in Mozambique, Angola, North Korea and Somalia. He has a degree in Economics from Eduardo Mondlane University, Maputo.
