5th Lisbon Conference: Into a New World Order? 13-14 October 2022

Two days of debate on the redefinition of international balances and the challenges of what appears to be a new world order.

In the last few years, the world entered into a stage of climate emergency, income and wealth inequality accelerated global and locally, multilateralism eroded, regional powers and multipolar initiatives flourished, identity fundamentalism boosted violent conflicts, and inflation and debt are again turning into global threats.

The 5th Lisbon Conference addressed major changes and challenges that are transforming the current World Order, thus accelerating the making of another, more diffuse, one in which the competition for hegemony is on the rise.

The event was held on-site, on October 13 and 14 2022, at Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, in Lisbon.

The videos of the panels will be available soon.
